A few website improvements

As you might already know, we moved our website to a new platform recently. Since then we’ve rolled out a few tweaks in the background that will hopefully make it a bit easier to navigate.

Firstly, you can now refine the results when you’re browsing the categories or searching for specific terms. You choose to show only stuff that’s in stock, you can filter by category, price and brand, and you can sort your results by name, price or date added - great if you just want to see what’s new since your last visit. If you're browsing patch cables you can now filter by colour and type, too, which is a real gamechanger. You’ll also notice related products appearing at the bottom of product pages.

The in/out of stock filter has been the most asked-for feature request since we launched the original site around seven years ago so we're glad it’s finally there for you all to delight in (although it does appear quite far down the page on the left-hand sidebar, under the price filter).

Next, we’ve been doing a bit of spring cleaning of our product categories, particularly in the modular area of the site. We’ve got thousands of products in the database now, so we’ve tried to create more logical groupings making it easier to browse. We’ll continue to work on this in the background, but do let us know if you spot anything that doesn’t look right.

Finally, we now have dedicated pages for individual brands - so you can just click on the brand name on any product page to jump to a list of everything else from that manufacturer (it’s in between the main product title and the price fields - you’ll see a grey text line there with the brand’s name which is clickable). We’ll start souping up some of these pages with additional content over the coming months, along with some all-new buyers’ guides, plus lots more blogs, videos and insights from the team to spotlight the best gear.

As always, if there’s anything you’d like to see on the site or you have any feedback for us, we’re all ears. You can shoot us an email at info@signalsounds.com.
