IOU is a highly flexible DC-coupled signal processor, suitable for both CV and audio inputs. It features an attenuverter for precise signal scaling and inversion, alongside a unipolar DC offset slider with LED indicator. The DC offset slider provides up to +5V or +10V of precise offset control depending on the gain setting. A unique feature, resulting from a request by DivKid, is the ability to apply the offset either Pre or Post-attenuverter. When set to Pre-attenuverter, IOU allows for detailed, granular offsets across the entire slider range, offering fine-tuned control.

IOU includes a selectable output gain setting, allowing a choice between 1x and 2x. This feature is useful for amplifying low level input signals or doubling the DC offset control range up to +10V with the 2x setting.

The outputs are symmetrical, providing equal and opposite signals. This dual-output setup is useful for symmetrical voltage control, facilitating techniques such as sidechain compression (ducking) and crossfading when used in conjunction with VCAs.
