Well, the response to Instruo’s Pocket SCION has certainly exceeded our wildest expectations - we haven’t shipped this many orders for a single product for quite some time! Stocks are just starting to run low, but there will be lots more coming before Christmas if you don’t manage to snag one from the first batch.

Talking of in-demand products, we’re expecting a shipment of Rabid Elephant Natural Gates this month. No pre-orders for these, it’ll be first-come, first-served, but you can sign up to be emailed as soon as they go into stock - just use the link on the product page.

In other news, we’ve uploaded the recording of last month’s packed in-store event with ALM/Busy Circuits, and we’ve just announced our next date with ATOV, which will take place on Wednesday, 1st October - you can save your free spot on Eventbrite now. The Berlin-based brand behind the 16n Faderbank, Dual Harmonic Oscillator, lx-euclid trigger sequencer and more will have a very special new product to demo, which they’ll be unveiling at Machina Bristronica on the last weekend of September.

Talking of Machina, our next newsletter will drop into your inbox in three weeks’ time rather than the usual two, as our resident email monkey Tom needs to focus on preparing for his live set at the show on the Saturday afternoon! A few of the Signal Sounds team will also be in attendance, so come and say hi if you spot us.

Until next time,

Jason, Aleks, Kyle, Luke, Molly, Rob & Tom

Back in stock & coming soon

Lots of long-awaited re-ups landed over the last week or so, including the Squarp Hapax and Oxi One MkII battleship sequencers (in black and Nostalgia editions), the Vongon Replay polysynth (in black and cream), the Acid Rain Ripsaw polyphonic oscillator and the Sdkc Helical algorithmic synth voice.

Joranalogue’s Collide 4 is expected back in later today, and we also have a fresh batch of Xaoc Devices Samarkanda due to arrive next week, so if you’ve been craving a mega-powerful quad delay for your Eurorack setup, you won’t have much longer to wait!

New on our YouTube channel

What happens if you run a flanger through a phaser and then route the output back through the flanger? According to Manifold Research Centre - who’ve done exactly this in their new Ubique module -  you get “a complex feedback loop that allows you to manipulate and travel in between two entangled realities”. What that translates to is a world of glorious metallic textures, howling feedback and stereo spatialisation. Tom dives in to put it through its paces. Infini-flange here we come!

And finally...

Not only does he run our showroom, host Synth Club, solve all manner of customer queries and generally spread good vibes and cheer everywhere he goes, but our Luke is also a seriously talented musician and producer. His latest project is under the name Genufleck, and the Everything Was Forever EP is out now on all platforms - highly recommended if you like Four Tet, Floating Points, and melodic electronic music in general!
